Terms of sale and delivery

Version 6, 27 October 2026. These terms apply to every order placed with Estonian Oak from that date. An order placed earlier is covered by the version in force when it was placed.

1. Who you are buying from

Estonian Oak is the trading name of Estonian Oak Ltd, a company registered in Northern Ireland, company number NI744222, registered office 29 Fort Manor, Dundonald, Belfast BT16 1ZA. Email info@estonianoak.com, phone +44 7578 396190.

2. Quotes and orders

Every quote is one delivered price in pounds sterling. It covers the furniture, transport from Estonia, the customs declaration, import taxes, delivery to the room and assembly, unless the quote says otherwise. A quote is valid for 30 days. An order is confirmed when we have your written approval of the quote and drawings, you have signed our sales agreement, and your payment has arrived.

3. Made to order

Our furniture is made to your sizes and finish after you order it. Please check drawings, dimensions and finish samples carefully before you approve them. Production starts from the approved drawing, and changes after that point may cost extra or add time.

4. Payment

You pay in pounds sterling, as shown on our invoice.
The office desk and chair set is paid in full when you place the order.
Made-to-order pieces are paid in two halves: the first when you confirm the order, the second before the furniture leaves the workshop in Estonia.
Payment requests come only from Estonian Oak Ltd, on the company's invoice, and always to an account in the name Estonian Oak Ltd. We never ask for card details by phone or email, and never ask you to pay a personal account or an account in any other name.
We never change our bank details by email, text message or phone. If anyone tells you our bank details have changed, do not pay: call us first on +44 7578 396190.
If we cannot deliver within the agreed period, or cannot deliver at all, we refund everything you have paid within 14 days, to the account you paid from.
Goods remain our property until paid for in full.

5. Delivery period

Made-to-order furniture takes longer than 30 days. The delivery period for your order is written on your quote and you agree to it when you confirm the order. We tell you the delivery week when the furniture leaves the workshop, and then agree a delivery day with you. Delivery covers mainland Great Britain. Northern Ireland, the Scottish islands and the Channel Islands are quoted separately. Please make sure the room and the way in are clear on the day.

If we cannot deliver within the agreed period we will tell you and agree a new date with you. If the agreed period was essential to you, or a new date cannot be met, you may cancel at no cost.

6. Cancellation

You may cancel free of charge at any time before production starts, or before dispatch for the office desk and chair set, and we refund everything you have paid within 14 days.

Furniture made to your own sizes, wood or finish is made to your specification. For these goods the 14-day right to cancel an order placed at a distance does not apply once production has started. If you cancel after that point we may keep the cost of the work done up to then and refund the rest.

If your order is for a standard piece with no changes made for you, and you are a consumer who ordered at a distance, you may cancel within 14 days of delivery and we will refund you as the law requires.

7. If something is wrong

Solid wood moves with the seasons. Small changes in grain, colour and dimension are natural and are not faults.

If a piece arrives damaged, faulty or not as described, please tell us as soon as you can, with photographs. We will put it right by repair or replacement, or refund you where the law gives you that right. If you are a consumer, your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 apply in full and nothing in these terms reduces them.

8. Upholstery and timber

Upholstered items are supplied in line with the Furniture and Furnishings (Fire) (Safety) Regulations 1988. We keep records of timber species, origin and supplier for every order, as the UK timber rules require of an importer.

9. Complaints

Write to info@estonianoak.com. We will acknowledge your complaint within two working days and tell you what we will do about it.

10. Law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you are a consumer living in Scotland or Northern Ireland you may also bring a claim in the courts where you live.
